Children and Teen Theater Workshop
Children’s Theater (Ages 7 to 12)

Understanding that theater serves as a development tool, these workshops, led by actor and director Dimitris Elias, aim to create a new path for expression and creativity in our daily lives.
Children and teenagers find a safe space for complete expression and creation, using theatrical play as a tool to discover their expressive means, learning, feeling, and training their body and mind. It is important for them to connect with themselves and others in an environment where everyone is accepted, with no right or wrong, and where everyone is unique and special.
They will learn:
- Theatrical play exercises
- Improvisation
- Pantomime
- Voice exercises for correct articulation
- Trust, cooperation, and communication exercises
- Movement studies
At the end of the year, they will have the opportunity to experience the magic of a complete theatrical performance.

Teen Theater (Ages 13 and up)

They will learn:
- Acting exercises

- Voice exercises
- Dance
- Movement studies
- Dramatization
- Construction and use of theatrical masks
- Classic theater genres such as clown-esque, grotesque, commedia dell’arte
The goal is to present the work of the year through a complete theatrical performance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Annual membership registration required: 15€
- Trial classes are allowed only for monthly programs (1 per program), with the corresponding lesson cost.
- Exceptionally, one free trial lesson is allowed in Children’s, Teen, and Adult Theater Workshops.
- Monthly program fees are paid in advance on the first day of each respective month.
- Official holidays are included in the fees and are not made up (Official holidays: 26/10, 28/10, 24/12 (half-day), 25/12, 26/12, 31/12 (half-day), 1/1, 6/1, Clean Monday, 25/3, 1/5, Holy Thursday (half-day), Holy Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Holy Spirit Day, and 15/8).
- In case of absence due to the member’s fault, no makeup classes are provided.
- For classes with a waiting list, if the subscription is not renewed within the first week of each month, the place will be given to someone else.
- Tuition fees are non-refundable: If the participant cancels for any reason, does not attend the classes, or decides to stop attending during the classes. Transfer of participation to a different YMCA Thessaloniki program for the same or a relative person within the same financial year is allowed.
- Replacement cost for a lost magnetic card: 3€
