The YMCA Thessaloniki will organize the Staff Training School in Volos for the 15th consecutive year…

An open invitation to all the youth of the city who want to spend their free time in a different, pleasant, and fun way!

Every Sunday, through the Staff Training School program, enthusiastic young people eager to experience something different will fill their free time with positive energy and vitality!

They will learn by playing! They will grow up in a beautiful environment of trust, values, and principles, among other young people, sharing a common goal and vision.

The program is aimed at teenagers who have just started the 2nd year of Junior High School (born in 2010), as well as those in the 3rd year of Junior High School (born in 2009) and the 1st year of Senior High School (born in 2008).

We chose experiential education—learning through experiences—because it is dynamic, creative, and enjoyable, providing participants with the space to discover their potential through the encouragement of their trainers.

We use “play” as an educational tool. Instead of books and notebooks, participants learn through games.

The Staff Training School prepares individuals who would like to take on responsibilities and offer voluntary service to our fellow human beings, wherever they may be.

The meeting schedule for the 2024–2025 year will include ten (10) 2-hour meetings, every Sunday from 16:00 to 18:00.

The participation fee for the Staff Training School program is €60.

The program is led by YMCA Thessaloniki trainers with extensive experience in camps and other programs, who receive annual training in experiential education and have attended a series of relevant seminars in Greece and abroad. The education of staff is overseen by the relevant professional member of YMCA Thessaloniki, Emma Simeonidou.
