Our Vision

The vision of YMCA Thessaloniki is to be a diverse, participatory, and democratic organization, centered around young people and committed to their welfare. Respecting tradition while steadily oriented towards innovation, YMCA Thessaloniki aims for its members to contribute voluntarily and serve its objectives through its activities and programs. With an open and creative spirit and a belief in the universal principles of practical Christianity—free from dogmatism—it promotes justice and supports a society of wholeness and dialogue, respecting diversity, and fostering a community of equality and love without discrimination.

Our mission

YMCA Thessaloniki’s primary focus and ongoing concern are children and young people. Its mission is to contribute to society by empowering individuals and cultivating a sense of volunteerism among the youth. Through actions and experiential programs, YMCA Thessaloniki strives to help young people believe in themselves, develop their abilities, prepare to take on responsibilities, and become active and useful citizens. It is committed to fostering the balanced development of the soul, mind, body, and social skills of children and young people.
