🛶 “Together into the Future!”
From March 8th to 14th, 2025, the YMCA Camp in Chalkidiki became a hub of creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange, as 45 young participants from YMCA Thessaloniki, Adolf-Kolping-Berufskolleg, and Arbeit und Leben came together for the inspiring youth exchange “Move On! Camping for Peace”.
This project, supported by DGJW – ΕΓΙΝ, empowered participants to explore media literacy, storytelling, and critical thinking through photography and videography, while engaging in outdoor activities and intercultural learning.
With the theme “Together into the Future,” the program focused on:
- Developing digital and media literacy: Participants attended hands-on workshops to enhance their skills in photography, videography, and digital storytelling, gaining tools to critically analyze and produce media content.
- Exploring youth perspectives & social challenges in Europe: Through discussions and creative projects, they reflected on career aspirations, social issues, and the role of young people in shaping the future of Europe.
- Experiencing outdoor learning & team-building: The natural setting of our YMCA Camp in Chalkidiki, provided the perfect environment for team-building games, cultural exchange activities, and leadership exercises, fostering connections across borders.
As the week came to an end, participants left with new skills, fresh perspectives, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
The program was a true celebration of diversity, creativity, and empowerment, where young people exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and built friendships that transcend national boundaries!
This exchange was a step forward—towards a more connected, inclusive, and empowered European youth community.
